TRIOS Care conversion – FAQ 

Frequently asked questions about converting legacy subscriptions to TRIOS Care and what it means for TRIOS customers to be on our new premium subscription.

Why have I been converted?

We strive to continuously improve the experience for our TRIOS users. In 2021 we introduced TRIOS Care: our new, premium service agreement that comes included with all new TRIOS purchases. Now we want to ensure that everyone, including our current users, can get this premium experience with the improved benefits. That is why your TRIOS subscription has been converted from one of our legacy subscriptions to TRIOS Care.

What do I pay for TRIOS Care?

As a valued loyal customer, you will get TRIOS Care for the same price as you have been paying so far for your previous subscription.

What does it mean for me?

Your benefits will improve once you have updated your Unite/TRIOS software to the latest version and completed the TRIOS Care sign-up flow (after the conversion has been carried out).

The added benefits include:

  • Five years of warranty from original purchase date
  • Warranty coverage of both scanner and pod/MOVE+
  • Express replacement
  • Free Session with a 3Shape Dental Expert
  • Accidental drop coverage

What is TRIOS Care and what is included?

TRIOS Care is our premium service agreement and provides complete peace-of-mind assurance as soon as you switch on your TRIOS scanner. It enables you to focus on providing great treatments and reaching your full digital potential with unlimited support, warranty, express replacement and a free yearly session with a 3Shape Dental Expert. How do I update my software?

Simply go to settings in the upper left corner on Unite/Dental Desktop and go through these three steps:

1. Select “Installed Software & Upgrades”
2. Choose “Check for upgrades”
3.Click “Upgrade now” in the pop-up that appears*

*If noting appears, when pressing “Check for upgrades” your software is on the latest version and you are good to go!

What if I do not want to upgrade to a new version of Unite?

It is vital to always have the latest version of our Dental Desktop/Unite platform, both from a performance as well as a security point of view. It will also allow you to benefit from all the continuous improvements and added features in the software.

How do I know if I have been converted?

The first time you log onto 3Shape Unite/Dental Desktop after the conversion, you will see a pop-up welcoming you to TRIOS Care and asking you to activate your subscription. If you are on the latest version of the software and receive no pop-up, you are not yet converted. If you have received an email confirming that you have been converted, but do not see any pop-up, you need to update your software (see the section “How do I upgrade my software?”). If the pop-up still does not show up, please reach out to the 3Shape support team (see the section “I need further assistance, who can I reach out to?”).

Why do I need to activate TRIOS Care?

When activating TRIOS Care in the sign-up flow, you will be asked to accept our terms and conditions. TRIOS Care is a significant improvement to your current service agreement and without this consent, we cannot provide any of the TRIOS Care services such as support, repair/replacement, for example.
