Revamped 3Shape Community adds exciting new features and drops login requirement
The 3Shape Community has undergone an overhaul. We've added some new and exciting features and eliminated the need to log in when you enter the Community. However, if you would like to post on its Forum, download videos, case studies or tutorials, etc., you will still need to create a profile.
We speak your language
Boasting over 30,000 members, the Community has added multiple language options for selecting a dental training program. You can pick from several languages when viewing or downloading content. If the content you selected is not translated, the system will default to English. Click the "filter" tab to choose from nine languages for training material. Likewise, with case studies and webinars, you can choose from multiple languages on the "filter" tab.
A dental forum for answers to your questions
As a dental professional, you may have questions regarding digital workflows. The 3Shape Community Forum is the perfect place to pose your questions and get answers. Fellow dental professionals and 3Shape experts are always on hand to provide solutions. There is always someone around for help.
In your personal Community settings, you can also be notified by email of any updates to a post or threads you are following.
For example, in a recent post, a user had a question regarding the scan workflow for implant scan bodies. They even attached a jpg to the question. A fellow Community member was able to quickly help. It's a terrific way to share your expertise, learn something new, or get help.
Download resources to build your skills
The Community's "Resources" section has a library of case studies, webinars, and a media library with images of our solutions and product news.
"Software updates" is a great way to stay up to date on your 3Shape solutions, as every time we update one of our products, be it dental software or dental scanners, we create a "What's new" document that describes the new update. That way, it makes it very easy for you to stay abreast of any changes to your solutions.
As mentioned, the case studies and webinars are available in several languages. Case studies are cases presented by practitioners demonstrating digital treatment workflows.
Besides the “Resources” section having images of our products in the media library, there is also a film in it made exclusively for practices. The film highlights that your office has chosen to use digital dentistry. It is one of the most popular downloads in the Community and is an excellent film to show patients in your practice's waiting room.
Digital dentistry courses and training – you got this!
The Community's "Training" section offers you everything you could need when it comes to digital dentistry training. is organized by 3Shape solution and can be filtered further by language. Every 3Shape product, from TRIOS to Splint Studio, has in-depth tutorials that begin with the fundamentals and work their way up to more complex dental treatment workflows. We recommend that you spend time reviewing the material. There are some terrific help articles in there, for example on setup and administration of TRIOS on Unite or dental CAD/CAM training on how to use 3Shape Dental System.
Trending Topics
Supplementing the training section is our "Trending Topics" section. As the name implies, this area is devoted to trending topics - specific workflow tasks that 3Shape users are having challenges with. The videos are presented by 3Shape Academy superstars Dr. Ornella Delli Rocili and Jenni Tuokko. The engaging episodes can be watched or downloaded and deliver deep dives into relevant digital dentistry challenges.
